Paintings from 2026 that belong to no single city or sitter, built in the studio from photographs, scenes, and composites.
For 2026 this included experiments with stronger, richer colour combinations, expanding my palette as the year progressed, adding figurative work for the first time, and working larger than I previously had.
I also evolved my style to include less blending, embracing more visible brush marks and paint movements.
